Albert E. Anderson, Sr.

Albert E. Anderson, Sr., 93, Altoona, passed away January 9, 2024 at Hilltop Healthcare & Rehabilitation, Altoona. Born July 14, 1930, Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Albert F. and Hazel (Statts) Anderson. Preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Rose (Dumont) Anderson; and several other family members. Albert is survived by a multitude of children, step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He served in the US Army as a medic during the Korean War, receiving a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Albert worked as a truck driver for All States Asphalt Co. until his retirement. He was a past Post Commander of the Roy D. Grave VFW Post 1194, Potsdam, NY. Albert was a life member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. At his request there will be no viewing. Inurnment and graveside service will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Norwood, NY at a later date.
