Barbara L. Warner

Barbara Lee (Daw) Warner, 87, passed peacefully to Heaven on Saturday, surrounded by family. She was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., daughter of Edward “Buzz” and Elverda J. (Furney) Daw-local civic leaders. Barbara was the eldest of four children: Adrienne, Ronald, and Edward Jr., Wife of the late Kenneth Keef Warner (1934-2016); dear mother of Sharon (Lawrence) Wittig of Altoona and Darryl (Susan Haney) Warner of Hollidaysburg; “Nana” to five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Pittsburgh native, Barbara was the proud owner of The Frame Factory and Gallery in Monroeville, Pa. (1970s); and later retired from the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas (1987). She nurtured life-long friendships. Barbara loved fashion, crafting, birthdays, camping, framing, tennis, Bible study, and gabbing on the phone. She was kind to the end. Her life was full of family, friends, travel, faith, and love. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.  Friends will be received for a Celebration of Life at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, at Church of God, 123 South Market Street, Martinsburg, Pa. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, An Anderson Family Firm, 1222 13th Ave, Altoona. Condolences may be made at JonesFHAltoona.com.
