Betsy A. Cignetti

Betsy A. (Griffith) Cignetti, 84, Altoona, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. Born July 31, 1938, Altoona, daughter of the late Sylvester A. and Anna F. (Kirk) Griffith. Survived by her loving husband, Joseph L. Cignetti, whom she married on April 29, 1961 at the First Lutheran Church in Altoona; daughters, Jodie (Gregory) Molchany, Leslie (Richard) Stroud, and Connie (Ian) Lopez; eight grandchildren, Allison (Tyler), Marcus, Alexandra (Maria), Victoria, Elizabeth, Brayden, Nia and Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Colin; sister, Jean Reighard; and brother-in-law, Ben Branic; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Lou (Paul) Amigh, Jackie (Ronnie) Sheehan, Carmen (Bill) Pequinot and Martha Branic; and brother-in-law, Tom Reighard. Betsy worked at Sylvania before dedicating her time to her family. Later she enjoyed being a teacher’s aide for Tender Love for Children Care at First Lutheran Church, Altoona. She enjoyed bocce, bowling, gardening, ceramics and painting. Most importantly, she cherished making memories with her family. Friends and family will be received Monday, July 31, 2023 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12 p.m., First Lutheran Church, 1401 12^th Ave., Altoona, Rev. Dr. Barry Folmar and Rev. Ralph Hamer, co-officiants. Private inurnment Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
