Darlene K. Schirf, 79, Tyrone, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 at Hilltop Healthcare, Altoona. Born January 24, 1945, Windber, daughter of the late Charles T. Sr. and Edith A. (Thompson) Webb. Survived by her loving husband, Donald Schirf; daughters, Donna (Mark) Wance, Hanover; DeeAnn (Bill) Fike, Chesterfield, VA; and Dawn (Chester) Evans, Arlington Heights, IL; 5 grandchildren, Cassandra (Joseph) Marke, Kaylene Wance, and Corey, Ashleigh and Kayla Fike; 3 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Killian and Gwen; and her brother, Charles (Patricia) Webb Jr., Johnstown. Preceded in death by her two sisters, Inez (Peter) Anderson and Elda Mae (Cyril) Long. Darlene enjoyed gardening and planting her posies, crocheting Afghans for her family, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid reader. Most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family. Darlene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellwood, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11 a.m., Fr. Michael Pleva celebrant.
