Janet Tomlinson

Mrs. Janet E. Tomlinson, 87, of Altoona, Pa, died at 12:30 AM, Monday, June 12, 2017 at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, Pa after a brief illness.

Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Altoona, Pa on July 14, 1929, daughter of the late Edward and Alma (Earnest) Resig. She married Donald J. Tomlinson May 26, 1951 at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Altoona, Pa. He died September 30, 2003.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Janet was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. She was a member of the Cathedral Choir for over 30 years. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and playing bingo.

She is survived by 2 children Patty (Dennis) Hite, of Altoona, Pa; and Rick (Lori) Tomlinson of Tyrone, Pa a daughter - in - law Dana Tomlinson, 8 grandchildren Justin and Danielle Tomilnson, Emily Hite, Shannon Russell, Lauren Vaughn, Shane and Derek Tomlinson Meghan McKelvey and 5 greatgrandchildren Addison Hite, Bryce, Nathan, Nolan Vaughn and Jonah Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by 2 son John and Joseph and 3 siblings Edward, Walter and Eleanor Resig.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM Friday, June 16, 2017.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Thursday June 15, 2017 from 4 - 8 PM at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
