Mr. Joseph M. Mangiacarne, 70, of 301 Valley View Blvd, formerly of 1607 - 19th Ave Altoona, Pa died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Maybrook Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.

Mr. Mangiacarne was born in Altoona, Pa on March 21, 1948, son of the late Henry T. and Angeline (Cancilla) Mangiacarne who survives him of Altoona, Pa.

He retired in 1992 as an electrical salesman at Cowan Electric with 12 years of service.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Mr. Mangiacarne was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School. He was a member of BGHS Athletic Club, National Right To Life and Central Association of Miraculous Medal and he enjoyed music and stereo systems and was an amatuer weather watcher.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Joan M. Conroy, of Altoona, Pa; and a bother William A. Mangiacarne, of Portage, Pa. Mr. Mangiacarne is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces & nephews.

Friends will be received from 6 - 8 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held during the visitation.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 with Msgr. Robert C. Mazur officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
