Marion (Kenepp) Roberts

Marion Jean "Snooks". (Kenepp) Roberts, 88 of Altoona died on November 2, 2017 at The Winds At Mattern Orchard, Duncansville.

Marion was born on September 23, 1929 in Altoona, the daughter of the late George S. And Mary (Glover) Truby. She was twice married, first to David H. Kenepp who preceded her in death on September 28, 1985 and to Charles Roberts who preceded her in death on October 4, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her brother Donald Truby.

Surviving are her three sons, David G. and wife Ellen Keefe, Dennis R. and wife Ruth, Douglas J. and wife Paula; eight grandchildren: Marjorie, Michelle, Dennis, David, Jessica, Jacqueline, Douglas, and Danyelle; six great grandchildren: Aidia, Emma, Amyah, Graydn, Leirah, and Bennett; a niece Kathy Clapper and a nephew Lee Truby.

She retired as an office manger at Steel City Construction, Altoona. Marion enjoyed playing the organ, puzzles, reading and painting. She volunteered for several years at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center and was active with the the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Altoona Chapter 34, while her husband Charles was the Commander.

Friends will be received Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 1222-13th Avenue, Altoona . A funeral mass will be celebrated at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1 Cathedral Square, Altoona on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Officiated by Monsignor Robert Mazur. Internment win be held at Calvary Cemetery.
