Matthew Villano Jr.

Mr. Matthew F. Villano Jr. 58, of Altoona, PA, died at 7:27 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2016 at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, PA after a long and well fought battle with cancer.

Matt was born in Altoona, PA February 26, 1958, son of the late Matthew F. and Lucille (Poch) Villano Sr.

He worked as a custodian at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona for 5 years. He previously was a salesman for Babcock Lumber Co. with 25 years' of service.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona.

Matt was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and received an Associate Degree in Building Construction from Williamsport Area Community College. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus; "Relay for Life" with the American Cancer Society; and was very involved with his church activities, especially with the Lenten fish dinners. He also was an avid Penn State football fan.

He is survived by three children Matthew F. (companion Suzanne Field) Villano lll of Altoona, PA; Joseph N. Villano, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and Sarah (Brad) Miller of Colonial Beach, VA; and a brother Christopher J. Villano of Chicago, lL. Matt is also survived by three grandchildren, Harris, Nola, Bradley.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Altoona with Fr. David R. Rizzo officiating.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
