Maxine Itle

Maxine E. Itle, 93, of Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona and Cresson died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 after an extended illness.

Mrs. Itle was born in Altoona, Pa on July 31, 1923, daughter of the late Wiilliam Ludger and Matilda Philomena (Foster) Wertzberge. She married Regis Aloysuis Itle May 7, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona. He died July 9, 1992.

She retired as a Business Manager at Diocese of Altoona - Johntown, Catholic Register Hollidaysburg, Pa with 15 years of service. Previously she worked at Sylvania Electronice and Sears in the business office.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altoona, Pa.

Maxine was a 1942 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a past member of Sylvan Hills Golf Association, Red Hat Club and Class of 1942 Altoona High School Reunion Committee, Volunteer at Garvey Manor, Red Cross and Altoona Hospital. She was a past member of Park Hills Country Club and Altoona Women's Club. Maxine enjoyed playing cards, sewing, golf and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by 2 sons Ronald R. (wife Sandy) Itle, and Edward A. (Barbara) Itle of Altoona, Pa. 5 grandchildren Eric (Heather Itle of Pittsburgh, Evan (Katrina) Itle of Brandon, FL, Stephanie (Jason) Itle - Clark of Frederick, MD and Christopher and Brian Itle both of Altoona and 3 great grandsons Ian, Aidan, and Gage and a great granddaughter Arya. She was preceded in death by 6 silblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 28,2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altoona, Pa with Fr. Lubomir A. Strecok officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Sacred Heart Church at the end of Mass.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 3 - 7 PM at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 2:45 PM.
