Nancy Wolf

Nancy Lee (Hobson) Wolf of Hollidaysburg died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at UPMC - Altoona, Pa after a brief illness.

Mrs. Wolf was born in Louisville, KY on September 23, 1932, daughter of the late Willis and Bracken (Walker) Hobson lll. She married Herbert T. Wolf ll September 22, 1955 at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Louisville, KY. He died February 20, 2003.

She was a Homemaker and previously did secretarial work at Owens Glass Company in Louisville, KY.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church - Hollidaysburg, Pa.

Nancy was a graduate of Atherton High School for Girls in Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville. She was a member of a Bridge Club and the Spade and Trowel Garden Club. She had a passion for gardening, flower arranging, interior decorating, fashion, music and painting and was an advocate for animals. She added her own artistic touch to whatever she did.

She is survived by 6 childran Nancy "Tee" Wolf Kamoshita of Vancouver, Washington, Herbert T. (Lynne) Wolf lll of Frederick, MD; David H. (Sheri) Wolf, of Warrenton, VA; Peter McGuire (Lisa) Wolf Ph.D., of Altoona, Pa. Paul A. (Heidi Ph.D.) Wolf of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Sarah B. (Donald) Newlands, of Portland, OR; 5 grandchildren and a sister Margaret McGowan, of Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Leah Margaret Wolf.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 3:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home Wednesday, December 30, 2015, with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating.

Commital Rites will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, KY.

Friends will be received from 1 - 3 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Jones Funeral Home.
