Paul Lunger

Mr. Robert Lunger, 85, of Altoona, Pa, died at 6:45 PM, Sunday, March 15,2015 at UPMC - Altoona after a brief illness.

Mr. Lunger was born in Milton, Pa. on October 31,1929, son of the late John C. and Beatrice (Kriner) Lunger. He married Leona Marie Notaro, November 28, 1952 in Winchester, VA.

He retired as a Laundry Supervisor at VanZandt VA Medical Center Altoona with 32 years of Service.

He was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Paul was a 1948 graduate of Milton High School, Milton, Pa. He was a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and a past member of the Catholic War Veterans. He enjoyed his family collecting stamps, records, music, John Wayne movies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Ship's Serviceman 3/c.

He is survived by his wife and 4 sons Robert P. (Pam) Lunger, David M. Lunger, both of Altoona, Douglas E. Lunger, of California; and Glenn T. Lunger, of Altoona, Paul is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 bothers, John Lunger and Kenneth Lunger.

At Paul's request there will be no viewing or services.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.
