Mr. Robert L. Harvey,90, of State College, Pa. Sunday, February 22, 2015 at The Atrium, State College, Pa. after an extended illness.

Mr. Harvey was born in Rossiter, Pa. on October 20, 1924, son of the late Robert R. and Lucy Mae (Hawk) Harvey. He married Helen A. Weber August 29, 1948 at United Brethren Church, Latrobe, Pa.

He retired in 1989 as a Marketing Supervisor at Peoples Natural Gas Co. (now Dominion) Altoona, with 10 years of service. Previously he was a self-empioyed owner of Harvey's Sales & Service, Kittanning, Pa. for 21 years.

Bob was a past Presbyterian Church Deacon at Grace Presbyterian Church, Kittanning, Pa.

Mr. Harvey was a 1942 graduate of Wellsboro High School and Duff's Business School, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a volunteer for Armstrong County Theatre, Butler Little Theatre where he enjoyed performing in their productions. He served as guide for Allegheny Portage Johntown Flood Park Service, Cresson, Pa. He served on the Boards od Directors of the Altoona Symphony and Blair County Junior Achievement. He also advised a company of Junior Achievers. His further service included his membership in the Kittanning Fireman's Band (saxophone), provided free tax work for senior citizens, guiding visitors through Eisenhower Auditorium at the Center of Performing Arts in State College, Pa. He supported Arts, which included Pittsburgh Ballet Co, the Allegheny Ballet Co, The Center for Performing Arts, Altoona Symphony and Nittany Valley Symphony. His favorite activities included scuba diving, flying, dancing, music and travel.

During World War, he seved in Squadron C, 3502nd Army Air Forces Base Unit, where he was crew chief on B-17 bombers.

He is survived by his wife and 2 daughters Ann Elaine (Douglas) Fertuck of Farmington Hills, MI, and Patricia Louise (Steven) Noel, Camp Hill, Pa.

At the Bob's requust there will be no viewing.

A private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa.
