Rose Joseph

Mrs. Rose Louise Joseph, 95, of Roseville, MI, formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday 20, 2016 at Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Point, MI.

Mrs. Joseph was born in Altoona, PA on November 24, 1920, daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Holloran) Gutzwiller. She married Albert Paul Joseph August 21, 1971 in St. Benedict Catholic Church, Detroit, Michigan.

Rose was a member of St. Charbel Catholic Church, Roseville, Ml, and a past member of St. Leo's Catholic Church Altoona, PA.

Rose was a graduate of Altoona High School. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was also know for her famous cinnamon rolls and chocolate peanut butter fudge. Rose was a very stylish and classy woman and loved her clothing and jewelry.

She was the loving mother of Peggy Gray, Dennis (Gloria) Rinehart of Altoona, PA and Kim Rinehart of Roseville, Ml. She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, Robin Huff, Jeffrey Killinger, Bill Hazlett, Seandraleen Holloran, John Hazlett, Mike (Tracy) Hazlett, Byron Owen, Dennis Rinehart Jr., Brian Lee, Mark (Jen) Rinehart, Stephenie (Jeremiah) Bachmann, Justin (Cortney) Rinehart, Kristopher Rinehart, Kathleena Fields, and Jacob Fields; 25 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren.

Rose is the last of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann Reinhart and six siblings Robert Gutzwiller, Walter Gutzwiller, Marian Durbin, Eugene Gutzwiller, William Gutzwiller, Helen Charlotte Gutzwiller.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, PA.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 5 -8 p.m. Friday May 27, 2016 at Jones Funeral Home where a Vigil For the Deceased will be held during the visitation.
