Samuel Lynam

Samuel P. "Sammy" Lynam, 51, of Altoona died at 4:36 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.

Mr. Lynam was born in Altoona on May 14, 1955, son of the late Samuel P. and Virginia L. (Massaro) Lynam who survives him of Altoona.

He was an autobody repairman at Auto Outlet with one year of service. He previously was employed by at Vince's Auto Body.

He attented Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.

Sammy was a graduate of Altoona Area High School. He enjoyed building models, working on cars, was an avid football fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son Christopher M. Lynam of Northern Bedford; two sisters Amber M. Lynam of Altoona and Linda L. Henderson of Hollidaysburg. Sammy is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Service Outside of Mass will be celebrated at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona at Noon on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 with Very Reverend Canon Robert G. Lynam KCHS officiating.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

Friends will be received Tuesday January 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Jones Funeral Home.
