Terrance P. Shea, 78, Altoona died early Sunday morning at his home. He was born in Buffalo, NY son of the late Edward S., Sr. and Ethel (Naylon) Shea. He married Mary E. Clifford on October 19, 1957 at Annunciation Church , Buffalo, NY.

Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Mary (James) Farrell of Altoona, Patricia Shea Hoefler of Harrisburg, Kathleen (Theodore) Sheehan of Wallkill, NY, Jean Marie Shea of Goose Creek, SC, Bridget (Kevin) Beichler of Potomac Falls, VA and Margaret Shea of Altoona; a son, Terrance P., Jr. (Carly) of Lewisburg; 13 grandchildren, Katie (Athony) Razzano, Jennifer (Benjamin) Weaver, Evan Farrell, Michael Shea, Christopher (Latricia) Hoefler, Alex Hoefler, Ryan and Kevin Sheehan, Ian (Ragan) Beichler, Heather (Michael) Crawford, Andrew Beichler, Conrad and Emmy Frances Shea; 5 great grandchildren, Julia Razzano, Anthony Razzano, Jr., Elijah and Lucas Weaver and Jadon Hoefler.

He was preceded in death by brother, Edward S. Shea, Jr. adn an infant brother who died at birth.

Terrance was a 1953 graduate of Canisius High School, Buffalo, NY and a 1957 graduate of University of Notre Dame. He retired in January 1998 as a salesman at Monarch Cleaners. Terrance was a member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, altoona and the Ntional Adoration Society. He was a volunteer for the Altoona-Johnstown Dioceses Prison Ministries, St. Vincent  dePaul, Altoona, the Altoona Public Library Literacy Program and Health South Rehabilitation Hospital. He enjoyed reading histroy, economics and poetry and was also a published poet. Terrance was avid Notre Dame football fan. He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending all of their sporting ecents. Terrance was extremely proud of his Irish heritage.

Friends will be received from 4-8 pm Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Jones Funeral Home where a vigil for the deaceased will be held. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am Thursday, October 23, 2014 at St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Altoona, the Rev. D. Timothy Grimme, celebrant. Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cememtery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul or Blair County Chapter American Heart Association.
