Theodore Glunt Sr.

Mr. Theodore L. Glunt, Sr., 88, of Altoona, died Sunday morning May 6, 2018 at Hillview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.

Mr. Glunt was born in Altoona on February 26, 1930, a son of the late Theodore A. and Hazel E. (Cassel) Glunt. He married Constance D. Andros.

He retired in 1995 as a warehouseman from SKF Industries, Altoona with 35 years' service. He previously was employed at Butterick as a lithographer.

Theodore was of the Methodist faith.

Ted was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a member of Hollidaysburg Sportsmans Club and enjoyed being with his grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a PFC during the Korean War.

Ted is survived by three children, Rebecca A. Pfister and Theodore L. "Ted" Glunt, Jr. both of Altoona; and Terry L. (Lori) Glunt of Hollidaysburg; a brother Rodger A. Glunt of Bellefonte; two granddaughters, Jennifer R. Pfister and Katies E. (Dan) Dengate; and two step grandsons, Ryan (Lindsey) Baker and Brendan Baker.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara A. Kohler and a son-in-law, Patrick A. Pfister.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona with Reverend Peggy Bonsell officiating.

Interment will be made at Alto Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 10:30 AM until noon at Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.

Military Honors will be provided by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
