Edward Gordon

Mr. Edward A. Gordon, age 95, of Altoona, died peacefully Friday morning at Greystone Manor at Bellmeade.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Andrew Paul and Julia B. (Baglio) Gordon. On June 15, 1956, he married Jane C. Shutt

in Winchester, Va. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1999.

Surviving are cousins, Tony and Mary Saleme of Altoona; and special friends, Ron and Marcy De Antonio of Altoona.

He was preceded in death by four siblings: Catherine Venuto, Dorothy Angeline Organ, Russel Carl Gordon and Paul Robert Gordon.

Ed attended Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1986 as a stencil cutter at Conrail with 43 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith.

He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and painting.

The De Antonio family would like to acknowledge the staff of Graystone Manor at Bellmeade for their wonderful care, compassion and love for Eddie. We are grateful that he was in their care.

Friends will be received from 5 to 6 p.m. today, July 12, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. today, July 12, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, the Rev. Tim Guyer officiating.

Committal rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona
