Obituary
George G. Moyer, 87, Altoona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, February 13, 2023 at his daughter’s home. Born July 10, 1935, Altoona, son of the late Raymond T. and Mable (McCaulley) Moyer. Preceded in death by his loving wife Dorothy L. (Zeak), whom he married November 20, 1957 in Altoona; and his two sons, Mark A. and Jesse A. Moyer. Survived by his daughter, Pauline L. Friedenberger and husband, Frank; sons, Shawn E. Moyer and wife, Jerri; Raymond F. Moyer and wife, Barbara; sister, Nellie Burkhart, all of Altoona; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. George was the owner of Penn Alto Sanitation for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Riggles Gap Bible Church and a life member of the VFW Post 8685. At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Funeral Home, 1222 13th Ave., Altoona, PA 16601.
