Glenn M. “Chip” Conrad, 53, Altoona, died April 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of Michael Richard and Mary Ann (Baker) Conrad.
Chip was a 1986 graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle High School and a 1991 graduate of Edinboro University.
He was an All-American defensive lineman and a defensive coach at Edinboro, and past defensive coach at Bishop Guilfoyle High School. He was also a past member of Knights of Columbus and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.
Chip retired in 2018 as a tool and die journeyman at M C Tool & Die Co., Altoona, where he served as vice president of the company.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona.
Chip is survived by two daughters, Aubri K. (Alex) Clarke of Rogers, Ark., and Anna K. Conrad of Altoona; their mother, Jennifer Conrad; parents, Michael Richard and Mary Ann Conrad of Altoona; a sister, Renee Shelow; and brother, Andrew R. Conrad, both of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maura Conrad; and a sister, Erin Luciano.
Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Monday, May 9, 2022, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, with Chaplain Tony Conrad as celebrant.
Committal will take place at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
