James Stephen Hatch Jr., 59, of Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late James S. Sr. and Linda S. (Estep) Hatch.
He was previously married to Patricia A. Cruse.
Jim worked as a water operator at Altoona Water Authority, with 25 years of service.
He was a 1980 graduate of John Marshall High School, Cleveland, Ohio, and was a member of AFSCME Local 3155.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by a daughter, Sarah J. (Maher) Baker of Summerville, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Hythum and Liyena Baker; a sister, Laura (Richard) Stansbury; and a niece, Nico Stansbury.
Memorial services will be held during the visitation.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
