Martha (Miller) Stefanon

Mrs. Martha L. “Marti” (Miller) Stefanon, 70, of 520 B Moringside Ave. Altoona passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 surrounded by family and friends in Hollidaysburg, Pa after an extended illness.

Mrs. Stefanon was born in Altoona, Pa on July 20, 1949, daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Pilkington) Miller. She married Stephen J. Stefanon April 11, 1970 at St. Rose Of Lime Catholic Church, Altoona.

Matri co-owned and operated Cresson House Bed and Breakfast with her husband Steve for the passed 18 years. She previously worked at M &T Bank and Team Motors.

She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Marti was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She served as Treasurer of Eastern Cambria Chamber of Commerce, and was a Volunteer for Home Nursing Agency. She enjoyed being with her family, spending time with her granddaughter Giovanna, friends, gardening, greeting her guests at Cresson House and vacationing at the beach.

She is survived by her husband a daughter Stephanie M. (Tony) Roefaro, of Altoona,  and a sister Denise Williams, of Altoona, Pa. Marti is also survived by her granddaughter Giovanna Rose Roefaro and a grandson Anthony M. Roefaro Jr. and a bother-in-law and sister-in-law Dennis and Janice Stefanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Marti’s name to Home Nursing Agency Foundation 201 Chestnut Ave. Altoona, Pa 16601 or the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament 1 Cathedral Square, Altoona, Pa 16601

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 5, 2019 with Fr. Dennis Kurdziel officiating.

Entombemt will be at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

There will no public visitation.
