Mary Ann (Fox) Branic, 92, of Strongsville, Ohio, formerly of Altoona, finished her life’s mission and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday in Strongsville, Ohio. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George Byron and Gertrude (Wilev) Fox.
She married Francis Joseph Branic on Aug. 16, 1952, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death.
Mary Ann was a retired registered nurse. She was a graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing and Altoona Catholic High School in 1947.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville, Ohio.
Mary Ann is survived by five children: Jeff (Neomia) Branic; Julie (Stephen) Mehallo; Greg (Debbie) Branic, Susan (Jim) Bradshaw and Mary (Jim) Kaminski; two sisters, Mary Martha Orkiseski and Mary Christina Grimme. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by five siblings: David, Daniel, Jerome, Mary Elizabeth and Mary Veronica.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Strongsville, Ohio.
Committal Rites will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.
At the family’s request, there will be no public visitation.
