Mary Jeanette Marlett

Mary Jeanette Marlett, 92, of Hollidaysburg, Pa died at 10:35 AM, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Altoona, Pa on January 15, 1929, daughter of the late William and Emily (Holland) Forbes. She was first married to Robert Cowan who preceded her in death. She was then married to Leon Augustine Marlett  March 10, 1977 at Penn State Altoona Campus Chapel. He preceded her in death July 27, 1999.

Mary Jeanette retired in 1994 as a Social Worker at Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Altoona, Pa with 21 years of service.

She was a member of Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Altoona, Pa.

Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling, reading, volunteering, photography and was a devoted Catholic.

Mary Jeanette is survived by 3 step-sons Ronald A. (Kathy) Marlett of Auburn, NY; David L. (Lena) Marlett, of the Philippines and Dennis W. (Linda) Marlett, of Felton, Delaware. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mary Jeanette is also survived by a daughter-in-law Carol Marlett of Buffalo, NY and was preceded in death by two daughters Mary Roberta (Carl) Lutz and Cathy Cowan and a step-son John E. Marlett.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, Pa with Msgr. Stanley B. Carson officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

Friends will be received Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Jones Funeral Home Altoona, Pa.
