Mitchell Moss

Mitchell W. Moss, 79, Altoona, died Saturday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, son of the late Hugh and Nancy (Rountpoint) Moss.

He married Janet Bagley on Sept. 9, 1978, in Albany, N.Y. She preceded him in death in 1998.

On June 16, 1990, he retired as a cook at Western Steer Restaurant, Hagerstown, Md.

Mitchell enjoyed sports, old movies and reading.

Surviving are a sister, Mary Moss of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; and a nephew, Jeff Pasley of Duncansville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Moss; and two sisters, Dorothy Claire Moss and Jacqueline Pasley.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A private service will be held with Monsignor Stanley B. Carson at the convenience of the family.

Committal Rites will be held at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
