Nicholas Arseniu

Mr. Nicholas J. Arseniu, 86 of Altoona, died Monday morning, May 10, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born February 19, 1935 in Altoona son of the late John and Viola (Charras) Arseniu. He married Mary Patricia Steinmetz who preceded him in death September 18, 2006.

He retired in 1985 as a self-employed owner of Ford Vending of South New Jersey and Philadelphia with 30 years service.

Nick was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Altoona, Pa.

He was a 1953 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Holy Cross Seminary, Boston, Mass for 1 year. He was a past member of Lions Club of Maple Shade, NJ and Kiwanis Club of North Philadelphia and enjoyed being with his family, horse racing and playing cards.

He served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class.

Nick is survived by 2 children Kimberly A. Arseniu of Stuart, FL and Jason J. Arseniu of Duncansville, Pa; Grandson Dustin Arseniu and great grandson, Nicholas Arseniu both of Waynesville, NC, a sister Judith Parson of Altoona, Pa. Mr. Arseniu was preceded in death by 2 bothers Charles and Janes Arseniu and 3 sister Elizabeth Gregory, Anne Hanlon and Gloria Cohn.

A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Friday, May 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joseph Cervo officiating.

Friend will be received from 9:00 AM – 11:00 Service time Friday, May 14, 2021 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 1431 – 13th Ave Altoona, Pa 16601.

Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa 16601.
