Raymond Boslett

Mr. Raymond A. Boslett, 81, of 906 formerly of Red Hill, Altoona, died at 11:56 AM, Tuesday, July 31, at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, after an extended illness.

Mr. Boslett was born in Spangler, Pa on October 29, 1936, son of the late Raymond M. and Agatha (Dunlap) Boslett. He married Alice Ference June 20, 1959 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bakerton, Pa.

He retired in 1993 as an Electrican with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 5 with 23 years of service.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church - Hollidaysburg, Pa.

Raymond attended John Carroll High School. He was a member of Knights of C olumbus, 4th Degree, Past Grand Knight, Heidlberg Country Club, Life member of Bavarian Aide Society, St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood, and the Newburg Volunteer Frie Company. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, the beach, playing cards and going to casinos.

He served in the U.S. Marines as a Cpl in the Korean War and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

Raymond is survived by his wife and 5 children Kathy L. (Tim) Capriani, of Fredericksburg, VA; Anthony A. (friend Hannah L.) Boslett, of Chantilly, VA; Cynthia A. Young, of Hollidaysburg, Pa; Mary A. (Keith) Quarry, of Elizabethtown, Pa; and James E. Boslett of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brittney Sias, son-in-law David Young and two bothers Robert Boslett and Paul J. Boslett.

Family and friends are invited to attended a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, August 6, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church - Hollidaysburg, Pa with Fr. Anthony Legarski & Fr. Donald Boslett officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona, Pa.

There will be no public visitation.
