Mrs. Regina M “Jeanie” Farabaugh, 100, of Garvey Manor Our Lady of the Alleghenies, Hollidaysburg died at 5:02 AM Saturday July 18, 2020 at Garvey Manor Our Lady of the Alleghenies, Hollidaysburg.

Mrs. Farabaugh was born in Altoona, Pa on April 18, 1920, daughter of the late Bernard J. and Margaret (Lonsdale) Plunket. She married Vincent G. Farabaugh Sr September 9, 1942 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona. He died March 21, 2003. They were married for 60 years.

Jeanie retired in 1981 as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital Altoona with 40 years of service.

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Altoona, Pa.

She was a 1937 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and 1941 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing with 40 years of service. She enjoyed her grandchildren great grandchildren knitting, crocheting, bus trips, gardening, line dancing, bowling and especially the beach.

Jeanie is survived by 3 children Margaret A. (Don) Kelly, of Export, Pa; Vincent G. (Paula) Farabaugh, Jr., and Dr. Edward F. (Paulette) Farabaugh both of Altoona, six grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandson and 1 step grandson She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle Bell, great grandson, Matthias Ruby, daughter-in-law Judith Farabaugh, 5 sibling Bernard J. Plunket Jr., Gladys Huber, Marian Maser, Margaret Cummins and Sarajane Price.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Altoona, with COVID – 19 restrictions in force. With Msgr. Stanley B. Carson officiating.

Committal Rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery Altoona.

There will be no public visitation.
