Virginia Elizabeth "Ginny" Pecze

Virginia Elizabeth “Ginny” Pecze, 73, of Altoona, Pa., died at 10:37 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her residence, after an extended illness.

Ginny Pecze was born in Johnstown, Pa on February 17, 1949, daughter of the late Stephen Louis and Dorothy E. (Jones) Pecze.

She retired in 2011 as Waitress & Housekeeper at Tom & Joe’s Restaurant and Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament with 25 years of service.

She was of the Protestant Faith.

Ginny was 1967 graduate of Beechwood High School, Ft. Mitchell, KY. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and playing bingo.

She is survived by a daughter Brenda L. Keiper; 3 siblings Betty Jenkins, of California; John Pecze and Earl “Bud” Pecze, both of Johnstown, Pa. Ginny is also survived by 4 grandchildren Kimberly McConnell, John McConnell Jr., Tiffany Boring and Eric Smith. She was preceded in death by her Step – Father George Smick.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at Jones Funeral Home, Altoona, Pa at 7:00 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022 with Rev. Richard Maher officiating.

Interment will be at Benshoff Hill Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa.

Friends will be received Monday, June 6, 2022 from 5 - 7 PM at Jones Funeral Home.
